Actor Stanley Kamel Found Dead
Actor Stanley Kamel was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday. The 65-year-old actor died from a heart attack.
Best known for his role as Dr. Charles Kroger on USA’s “Monk” Kamel also appeared in numerous other roles over the past three decades. including an eight episode stint in 1995 as Tony Marchette, the father of Rebecca Gayheart’s character on Beverly Hills 90210.
A rep for the USA network issued the following statement:
“USA is deeply saddened by the news of Stanley Kamel’s passing. Stanley was an amazingly talented and extremely kind man, and an important member of the USA family. He will be sorely missed.”

I love his character on Monk! I wonder if they’ll replace him or decide that Monk doesn’t need to got to therapy anymore….
Monk already lost Trudie in a sudden accident, to loose his theraphist suddenly also should put
another heart felt meaning to his character.
I truely enjoyed Stanley’s character on the Monk show and his acting compassion with the character of Monk. Stanley’s family and friends will be in my prayer’s, I am truely sorry for your loss and the loss of his acting presence on one of my favorit shows.
In the season premiere of Monk, Dr. Kroger died from a heart attack and Monk tries to find a new therapist. He moves from his apartment, claiming that it is because of the girl playing the piano across the street, but it is really because the song that she plays is a song that Dr. Kroger was fond of. So, he moves, getting himself into a lot of new trouble and a new case to solve.

Wow… what a wonderful actor he was. I always loved it when he appeared on Monk. He’ll be truly missed.
