Matt Grant Moves out of Shayne Lamas’ Home
UPDATE: Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas Call Off Engagement
It’s being reported that Bachelor Matt Grant and winner fiancée Shayne Lamas are no longer living together. However, Grant insists that despite not living together, they are still happily engaged.
“I had to get my own life out here (in L.A.),” says Grant. “Get my career and friends and have my own circle. That’s important in a relationship. That you are not entirely on top of someone.”
The couple has been dogged by rumors of discord since their televised engagement, however, Grant says that they are doing well and that living together was always meant to be “a stop-gap.”
“Early on in the relationship, people need a little space,” says Grant. “It’s almost to keep the spark — the romance — that exists in the first year of a relationship. Living together after knowing one another after four months is probably a little bit quick. Certainly for our generation.”
Do you think that these two will last much longer? They seemed so sweet on the show, but you can never tell how much is done for TV and how much is real life?

I Loved Matt from the beginning…He was handsome and oh so giving…Shayne was more of an underhand and didn’t seem sincere or grande…Then episode by episode I watched the romance grow..More connection then on any Bachelor Show…Shayne had a way as did Matt and like a rabbit coming out of a hat….This romance brought so much surprise…right in front of millions of eyes…Shayne is beautiful and Matt walked out of GQ…Falling in love with Shayne from the beginning..I think he knew…I hope Shayne is wise though she is young…Not to mess up on true love with the old song sung…Careers and egos come and go…Love Matt….Shayne for you’ll never know another love like his wherever you go…Good Luck to you both and hope I’ll get to see.. another wedding and join in the revelry…
Yes I think they will last! I think they are both adorable genuine people and if they can stay rooted thru all the glam they will do well!
I had no idea that Shayne was the daughter of Fernando Lamas. Yes, she is certainly attractive; but, one can take just so much her baby ways. She’s anything but sincere. What a pathetic phony.

i have watched “The Batchelor” frpm the beginning and I cannot get over the women that these men choose. No wonder they do not work. They pick the most sexy girl and forget that they are supposedly looking for a wife. None of these have picked a wife yet. Men are very narrow minded. Your might note that the only working relationship was a Batchlorette that made a her choice for a husband and it worked.
I think Matt is a very sincere young man and that Shayne, although beautiful, has a lot of growing up to do. I hope they make it, but I do have my doubts…..after the siliness, infatuation, etc. is gone…..they will have real life….. I think he can handle it, but not so sure about her.
I’m speaking form 43 years of marriage to the same guy….
Shayne only wanted to be on tv… thats what all the people wanted who were bachelors or bachelorettes… they are all fake… only one out of all stayed together!!!!
