‘Tropic Thunder’ Beats ‘The Dark Knight’ at the Box Office
After four weeks of being #1 at the box office, The Dark Knight has finally been beaten! Tropic Thunder, the comedy starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr., took this weekend’s top box office spot.
Tropic Thunder, despite (or in spite of?) recent controversy, took in $26 million this weekend. This makes Downey’s second number one film this summer. He must be living on Cloud Nine right about now!
The Dark Knight came in this weekend at #2.
