Shia LaBeouf Dodges His DUI Charge
Shia LaBeof won’t face the misdemeanor DUI charges he was cited with, while still in the hospital, for the July 27 accident that crushed his hand.
“After reviewing the case, we’ve declined to file any charges due to insufficient evidence,” says DA spokeswoman Jane Robison. Prosecutors plan to file criminal charges against the other driver who actually ran the red light.
The 22-year-old’s lawyer Michael Norris says, “We’re very happy with the prosecutor’s decision, and we’re glad this whole thing resolved without Shia having to go to court.”
