Country singer Mindy McCready was arrested again this week for violating parole. McCready reportedly turned herself into authorities in Williamson County, TN.

A bond was set at $500,000, and Mindy was released the same day, says a rep for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department.

The 32-year-old singer served jail time late last year for violating a probation violation and upon her release, was still required to be under supervised probation and perform community service. McCready was arrested in July 2007 in Florida and later charged with battery and resisting arrest after she was accused of fighting with her mother.

Mindy was also arrested in 2004 for fraudulently obtaining prescription painkillers and in 2005 for a DUI.

Beloved comedian George Carlin has died at the age of 71. Carlin passed away around 9:00 p.m. Sunday at a Los Angeles hospital after being admitted for chest pains.

Carlin was especially noted for his political and black humor along with many and his observations on language, psychology, and religion taboo subjects.

Carlin’s “Seven Dirty Words” routine was one of the most controversial issues in the history of comedy and was even taken to the Supreme Court in 1978.
Who didn’t love George Carlin? He was a comedic genius and will be greatly missed! Go ahead and say those 7 dirty words in his honor today!

Jen Moss is threatening to sue officials in Oregon if they don’t let her go topless in the Independence Day parade. Moss is known as the “naked lady” or the “pasty lady.”

Jen claims that the law states to cover “genitalia” in the city park, but not your breasts - and that’s what Jen is using to threaten the Chamber of Commerce with a lawsuit if they don’t allow her to be in the parade with nothing but a g-string on.

To older men, that may be a dream, but for mothers and wives, Jen’s demand is outrageous and just plain weird. Not only that, but a naked woman in a parade doesn’t exactly qualify for family entertainment.

What do you think? Should she keep her breasts to herself or be allowed to roam free at the parade?

A longtime neighbor and business partner of actor Paul Newman’s has confirmed that he is battling cancer.

Writer A.E. Hotchner, who partnered with Newman to start Newman’s Own salad dressing company, said the actor told him about the disease about 18 months ago.

Hotchner doesn’t say what kind of cancer the legendary actor has but said Newman is in active treatment.

Newman is a film legend and contributes his salad dressing sales to charity. Hopefully he will win his battle with cancer and get well soon!

Despite claiming she was broke, actress Anne Heche reached a settlement yesterday in her divorce from Coley Laffoon. Court papers show that she agreed to pay her ex-husband a $275,000 lump sum and $3,700 per month in child support for their 6-year-old son.

The agreement marks a sharp reduction in the temporary $15,000-a-month support that the Men in Trees stars had been paying – but said she could no longer afford because she was out of work.

Under the settlement, Heche, 38, also will pay 75 percent of son Homer’s private school tuition and half of “agreed-upon extracurricular activities” for the boy, according to L.A. Superior Court papers.

Laffoon, 34, filed for divorce in February 2007, and the fight quickly became nasty, with Heche portraying Laffoon as a deadbeat who watches porn and frequents strip clubs, and Laffoon calling Heche mentally unstable.

Sounds nasty! Doesn’t Anne Heche think she talks to aliens or something? Mentally unstable can’t be too far off.

Vin Diesel and his girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez, are the new proud parents of a baby girl, according to People. However, apparently no one knew about this, because the baby wasn’t exactly born yesterday. She was born in April!

Diesel, 40, and Jimenez welcomed their first child on April 2.

Diesel is currently shooting and producing Fast and Furious, due out June 2009, and will next be seen starring in Babylon AD on August 29.

I wonder why it was so hush-hush that it is just now becoming news, or was it that no one cared enough about Vin Diesel to ask?

Sharon Stone can’t apologize enough for her remarks at the Cannes Film Festival about the earthquakes in China being “karma” for all the “mean people” there.

“There have been numerous reports about what I said in Cannes,” she said in a statement Wednesday. “I would like to set the record straight about what I feel in my heart and end all of the misunderstandings. Yes, I misspoke. I could not be more regretful of that mistake. It was unintentional. I apologize, those words were never meant to be hurtful to anyone, they were an accident of my distraction and a product of news sensationalism. I am deeply saddened by the pain that this whole situation has caused the victims of the devastating earthquake in China.”

Stone, 50, who has a long history of political activism and is friends with Tibet’s exiled leader, the Dalai Lama, said at the film festival she was “not happy” with the Chinese treatment of the Tibetans and wondered aloud whether karma was at work with the earthquakes.

If Sharon really believes in Karma, then surely she knows that all the puppies and bunny rabbits in the world will probable be wearing Sharon Stone suits one of these days!

A default notice was filed on February 28th. McMahon hasn’t been able to get work since breaking his neck 18 months ago, reports his spokesperson.

He said that they are currently in negotiations with the mortgage company, but it’s not clear whether or not Ed and his wifey get to stay in their home.

If you want to buy Ed’s house, it has been on the market for two years at $6.25 million. The 6-bedroom home is located in the gated community of The Summit, but you might have a little noise problem, as paparazzi abound…you would be Britney Spears‘ neighbor!

79-year-old rock and roll legend Bo Diddley died at his home in Archer, FL, Monday of heart failure.

More than 35 family members were at the musician’s home when he died around 1:45 a.m. Diddley’s grandson Garry Mitchell said, “There was a gospel song that was sang and he said ‘wow’ with a thumbs up,” when asked to describe the scene at Diddley’s deathbed.

“The song was ‘Walk Around Heaven’ and in his last words he stated that he was going to heaven.”

Born Ellas Otha Bates in McComb, Mississippi, he later took the name McDaniel for the relative who raised him. His family moved to Chicago when he was seven and it was there that he was given the name Bo Diddley by other children. The name comes from “diddley bo,” a string instrument brought to America by African slaves.

Diddley’s career spanned more than five decades, composing rock classics, including “Who Do You Love,” “Bo Diddley,” “Bo Diddley’s a Gunslinger,” “Before You Accuse Me,” “Mona,” “I’m a Man” and “Pretty Thing.”

Anderson Cooper attended the 6th Annual Sesame Workshop Gala last night with Elmo. I know he’s interviewed some interesting and strange people and went to some very dangerous places in his day, but never was he caught in the crossfires like the day he interviewed Oscar the Grouch!
