Drew Barrymore Gives Away $1 Million On Oprah (Video)
Drew Barrymore sure knows how to make a difference. Monday, on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Barrymore declared she would be donating $1 million to the World Food Programme to help feed the children in Africa.
A very passionate Drew told Oprah, “I have seen with my own eyes what a difference a simple cup of nutritious porridge can make in a child’s life. It helps them learn, stay healthy and sets them on track for a bright future.”
In 2007 Barrymore became an Ambassador Against Hunger and has been with the charity since 2005.
After she broke the news, best friend, “Poo” aka Cameron Diaz called in a little “choked up” to give her support.
Boyfriend, Justin Long, was also in attendance in the audience.
