Season 6 American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, can now add clothing designer to her list of accomplishments.
Jordin just recently joined Ashlee Simpson-Wentz in designing for clothing store, Wet Seal. While Ashlee did a T-Shirt line with the teen retailer, Jordin will be designing an assortment of holiday dresses in her line called, “Sparks.” The dresses will be delivered to stores just in time for Thanksgiving and will later include casual apparel and accessories.
“I am so excited that Wet Seal and I have been able to create a line of clothing that will appeal to more girls than ever before! The holiday season is my favorite time of year, and I can’t wait to see girls look cute, feel good and celebrate in style!,” Jordin said of her collection in a statement..
The dresses range in sizes from XS to XL and range in prices from $30-$55.
Jay-Z married his long time girlfriend, Beyonce, in April has been talking about his plans to start a family.
The rapper has spent several weeks touring the continent, being honored for his work to bring clean water to young people in Africa. But unlike Angelina Jolie, it didn’t inspire him to adopt.
The grammy winner states, “I don’t want to bring any kids home. Most people dream of having a family someday. So I’m just a regular American boy.”
Maybe they will be the next couple to cross over into the celebrity parent category!
Even though M.I.A. singer, Maya Arulpragasam, is retired from the music biz, she still has money-making on her mind.
Born in Britain but of Sri Lankan descent, the singer/rapper launched her own clothing line, inspired by M.I.A.’s onstage tour gear. The designs are in her trademark bright colors and bold graphics. She says, “With my stuff, because everything’s really bright, if you lose it or someone steals it, you can see it from miles away and you can be like, ‘Oy! Give me my shirt back!’”
M.I.A gave a sneak peek at the line in a video called, “Real Pirates of the Caribbean.”

L.A.M.B designer, Gwen Stefani is launching an exclusive line of uniforms for W Hotel’s bar staff.
“Gwen Stefani was in our lounge last season, and through that relationship she’s doing uniforms for the [Rande] Gerber bars located in W Hotels,” said Jenni Benzaquen, director of public relations for W Hotels.
The singer said, “I wanted to design a super cute dress that I would be excited to have in my own closet and approached it in the same way I think about my clothing for a tour. We’ve designed a sexy and comfortable outfit for these women to wear out on their own stage every night.”

It seems to me they would have to be made out of platinum dripped in diamonds and still have to feel like walking on pillows.
