In a thrilling announcement for Pokémon Go enthusiasts, Hollywood Crap is excited to reveal that Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon, will be the star of the upcoming August Community Day on August 13, 2023. The event will take place from 2pm to 5pm local time, providing Trainers with the perfect opportunity to catch this elusive Water type Pokémon.
During the event, Froakie will be making more frequent appearances in the wild, increasing the chances of encountering one. Lucky Trainers may even stumble upon a shiny Froakie, adding extra excitement to their collection. But that’s not all, as Frogadier evolved during this event will learn the powerful Charged Attack, Hydro Cannon Water, which is set to have a significant impact on PvP battles.
In addition to these enticing features, August Community Day will also bring about several bonuses. Trainers can enjoy the benefits of 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon, as well as 2x Candy for every Pokémon caught. For Trainers who have reached level 31 and above, there will be a 2x chance of receiving Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
To further enhance the experience, Lure Modules activated during the event will last a remarkable three hours. Incense will also have an extended duration of three hours, with the exception of Daily Adventure Incense. Trainers can utilize this time to take snapshots, which may hold a delightful surprise, or engage in trades that require 50% less Stardust.
The event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, giving Trainers ample opportunity to make the most of the exciting bonuses on offer. Making appearances throughout the Community Day will be Froakie, Frogadier, and Greninja. Trainers who are lucky may even encounter shiny versions of these captivating Pokémon.
Froakie, with its maximum CP of 1122, 122 ATK, 84 DEF, and 121 STA, proves to be a formidable addition to any Trainer’s team. Furthermore, Greninja, the evolved form of Froakie, will be able to learn the powerful and exclusive move, Hydro Cannon, during the event.
Even after the Community Day event concludes, Frogadier will continue its presence in four-star raids, providing Trainers with another chance to further strengthen their lineup. Completing a four-star Raid Battle against Frogadier will result in additional Froakie spawning around the Gym for an impressive 30 minutes.
That’s not all! Trainers can also enjoy August Community Day-themed Field Research, which presents opportunities to earn rewards such as additional Froakie encounters, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more. Additionally, Stickers related to the event will be made available, allowing Trainers to show off their participation in this epic occasion.
